DCA modes

Family

Accumulation-style deployment rather than active range harvesting.

The mechanism

Mathematically these are existing curves — dca_fixed is fixed, dca_linear matches 's capital profile with a single order per level. The distinction is intent: a DCA ladder exists to build a position at a good average price over time, not to cycle in and out of a range.

Accumulation-style rather than active .

The trade-off

Gain
Simple, low-stress, predictable . Well suited to spot and long horizons.
Cost
You are not optimising cycle frequency, so realised profit comes from the position rather than from the grid.

Modes in DCA

Cost is the size of a 10-level ladder, in base-lot units. ★ marks a practical pick.

Choosing within the family

  • dca_fixed — equal at every level. Alias of fixed.
  • dca_linear — buy progressively more the cheaper it gets, one order per level. Triangular capital profile, far fewer order slots than marti_grid_linear.
