Family

One size at every rung. The reference point against which every other family is measured.

The mechanism

There is no : size(i) = base. Capital is exactly linear in depth, the maximum exposure is knowable before you deploy, and it is mathematically impossible to blow up from position . The average entry is simply the arithmetic mean of the levels.

Basic curves against reference modes, same base lot.

Same size at every rung — fully predictable capital use.

The trade-off

Gain
Total predictability. The worst case is levels × , full stop.
Cost
Slowest recovery of any family — deep levels add no extra size to average down with.

Modes in Basic

Cost is the size of a 10-level ladder, in base-lot units. ★ marks a practical pick.

Fixed★
fixed
Equal size at every level — the safest, most predictable grid.

Choosing within the family

  • Use fixed for essentially every first grid.
  • Use dca_fixed when the intent is accumulation rather than range harvesting — same math, clearer framing.
★
Pro tip:Start here. Move to a growth only when you can state what problem it solves for you and what it costs.
