Family

The classic 1/n taper — a clean, gentle, academically tidy decay.

The mechanism

Sizes follow the series: 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4… The series diverges, but so slowly that in practice the ladder cost stays modest at any realistic depth. Mechanically identical to plain ; the separate family exists so dashboards and reporting can group it on its own terms.

The trade-off

Gain
Very , predictable de-risking with no parameter to tune.
Cost
Same weak averaging as the .

Modes in Harmonic

Cost is the size of a 10-level ladder, in base-lot units. ★ marks a practical pick.

Choosing within the family

  • harmonic is an alias of anti_marti_grid — the choice is one of labelling.
