14. Customising Shortcuts

Global keybindings are defined in the IDE keyboard controller hook. To override a binding, useIDEKeyboardShortcuts.ts in the code_editor/hooks directory and add your custom handler inside the keydown listener.

typescript
// apps/web/src/components/coding/ide/code_editor/hooks/useIDEKeyboardShortcuts.ts
// Example: override Ctrl+M to focus the terminal
if (ctrl && key === 'm') {
  e.preventDefault();
  terminalRef.current?.focus();
}
ℹ
Note:Monaco Editor also has its own shortcut layer. Monaco- shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl+Space for completions) work automatically without any configuration.
