Quatick ships with a full library of pre-built indicators and overlays. You can use these out of the box, or study their implementations as reference for building your own.

6. Using Built-in Plugins in Your Scripts

You can combine built-in indicators in your custom scripts by importing their calculation functions:

typescript
// Example: Use built-in SMA in a custom indicatorimport { sma } from '@quatick/indicators/sma';import { ema } from '@quatick/indicators/ema';import { rsi } from '@quatick/indicators/rsi';export function calculate(bars: BarData[], params: any) {  const closes = bars.map(b => b.close);    const sma20 = sma(closes, 20);  const ema50 = ema(closes, 50);  const rsi14 = rsi(closes, 14);    // Your custom logic combining multiple indicators  return bars.map((bar, i) => ({    time: bar.time,    value: sma20[i] > ema50[i] && rsi14[i] < 30 ? 1 : 0,  }));}
python
# In Python strategies, compute indicators using pandas:import pandas as pdimport numpy as npdef initialize(bars_data):    df = pd.DataFrame(bars_data)        # Trend    df['sma_20'] = df['close'].rolling(20).mean()    df['ema_50'] = df['close'].ewm(span=50).mean()        # Momentum    df['rsi'] = compute_rsi(df['close'], 14)        # Volatility    df['bb_upper'], df['bb_middle'], df['bb_lower'], _, _ = compute_bollinger(df['close'])        # Volume    df['obv'] = (np.sign(df['close'].diff()) * df['volume']).cumsum()        return df

7. Plugin Architecture

All built-in indicators and overlays extend from base classes in the quatick-charts package:

typescript
// Inheritance chain:// BasePlugin → BaseIndicator → YourIndicator// BasePlugin → BaseOverlay  → YourOverlay// BasePlugin provides:// - Plugin registration and lifecycle// - Parameter management// - Theme integration// - Event handling// BaseIndicator adds:// - calculate() execution on bar updates// - Output rendering (LINE, HISTOGRAM, etc.)// - Pane management (overlay or separate)// - Y-axis scaling// BaseOverlay adds:// - render() on canvas// - Hit testing and interaction// - Drag/resize handling// - Serialization
